Did the month of March fly by for anyone else, or just me? Things have been pretty crazy around here! Over the past month, I’ve had a lot of fun working on some really unique cake smash themes that you won’t want to miss. Read on for all my highlights from March!

SPRING MINI Sessions ARE COMING! 🌸

I’m super excited to announce my Spring Minis for 2023! These are fully interactive sessions themed around gardening. You’ll get to do some planting – yes, with real soil, plants, and gardening tools. You can even take the plant home afterwards! No green thumb required 😍

These sessions are suitable for all ages, and would be great for couples, families, or even a surprise portrait session for Mom (Mother’s Day is just around the corner….)

Sessions will be held April 22nd and 23rd in my Edmonton studio. Spots are extremely limited, so book yours now!

Happy Camper Cake Smash 🏕

This Camping Cake Smash theme is one of my favourite sets ever. Mr. J just turned one, and Mom mentioned that they love camping, hiking, and mountains. My partner and I worked hard to create something that they would love, and I think we knocked it out of the park! Mr. J certainly seemed to like it 😂

Wildflower Cake Smash 🌼

Mrs. A turns one this month! Fun fact: the birth flower for the month of April is the Daisy! Mom requested a wildflower field with lots of pinks and purples, natural textures, and as many wild Daisies as possible. I think I ended up buying every single Daisy my local florist had in stock – but it was sooo worth it! Mrs. A was an absolute joy to work with, and so stinking cute 😍

SPACE CAKE SMASH 🚀

I LOVE space themed cake smash sessions. I mean, space is infinite, so you can take it in any direction you want! For Mr. B’s session, Mom requested a monotone colour palette with lots of different blues; I added the yellow stars to provide some colour contrast. Mr. B was so good, he was smiling the whole time and we had a blast together !
