This past weekend I went to Banff (for the first time ever!) with two of my favourite people! I’ve known Jamie & Justin for just over a year now, which is crazy because sometimes it feels like it’s been so much longer than that. I’m so glad we have been able to grow so close! Recently I have been spending a lot of time hanging out at their apartment watching the Oilers, playing board games or just flat out drinking copious amounts of alcohol. I’m excited to continue our Fast and Furious movie tradition in the future and have more fun adventures this spring and summer! They are trying to get me on board with tons of camping and they just may have broken me down.…..time will tell.

These two are seriously the dream couple, and as individuals the sweetest and most caring people you will ever meet. I adore them together and am so lucky to have them both in my life!

Now that we got that sappy stuff out of the way….we shot their Engagement Session on Saturday of this weekend and seriously had the most perfect weather. Despite the obvious of Banff being absolutely insanely beautiful, (as if I live in this province?!), these two are the cutest pair I have ever seen and you would have no idea they were nervous for photos! Working with them was a breeze. They got engaged back in September and have the most adorable proposal story, seriously, I melted when I heard about it.

(If you want to read all about how it went down and shed a couple tears, hop on over to Jamie’s blog here):

We shot at a whole bunch of different spots over the course of a couple hours, starting off with Lake Minnewanka. I have a super soft spot for winter engagements because seriously, how pretty is snow!? But, this one was particularly neat because of all the frozen bodies of water. We walked right down and out onto the ice which made for some amazing shots with the mountains in the background! We hit some other little spots on the sides of the road and also found a cute little creek and bridge and took advantage of that as well. I can’t get over how awesome these photos turned out and I am still partially stunned that Banff is even a real life place that exists!? It’s just so crazy beautiful and I’m so lucky to live so close.

I’m so so happy to call these two my great friends, and I had an absolute blast this weekend not only shooting their Engagement but venturing around Banff with them! We hit up a bunch of super cute bars, watched some hockey, had some tasty food, and ended the weekend at a country bar, how fitting haha.

Here are some of my favourite shots from their session! (This was very hard to narrow down because I’m truly obsessed with all of them).

Deirdre & Matt || Engagement

I have no idea where to start with these two! They have been amazing clients (now friends!) for a few years now, and when I found out they were Engaged I was so thrilled!! They are the sweetest couple ever and came to me right away wanting to book me for not only their Engagement Session but for their wedding in July 2019! I said yes instantly, and booked their date off in my calendar!!

From couple sessions to a family session to now their engagement I have had a blast working with these two awesome people and their family! I am so blessed to meet so many amazing people doing what I do, and this couple is proof of how lucky I am!

I am in total awe over the images we were able to capture at this gorgeous location for their engagement! We went to Scotsdale Farm in Halton Hills, Ontario on a warm Sunday evening just in time for the amazing sunset. I am so happy with how this session went and can't wait to capture their wedding next year!

Here are some of my favourite images (it was so hard to choose because I love them all!)

Victoria & Blair || Engagement

Well, where to start with this session...ahh!! Today I had an absolute blast shooting the engagement session of one of my best friends, Vic. When I found out she was engaged I was so excited for her, and when she asked me to be her Wedding Photographer, I was even more excited. I've known Vic for a little under four years now, and she has been such a fantastic friend to me ever since we met. I can easily say this girl is one of the kindest, funniest and most supportive people I know (not to mention beautiful!), and Blair is nothing short of perfect for her.

After toying between a few different locations for this session, they decided upon Abe Erb, the most adorable little brewery in Kitchener. This was my first time shooting in a location like this, but after today and the outcome, I can definitely say this is the start of a new love for me!! We were initially worried the place would be filled with people, but it was the exact opposite! We had tons of space to shoot and it was so easy to move around to different areas of the brewery.

We got so many shots today that showcase their genuine love for each other. These two needed no prompting and all this cuteness is unposed. I could not be more happy with how this session turned out. Seeing them interact, it's clear these two are crazy in love. I am so happy for them, and can't wait to capture their wedding day.
